Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 24 servings
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
Directions
- Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
